The Projected VPs feature is a great addition. However, I am not sure I like how they are calculated. This is what they seem to be:
Projected VPs (none flip) = score if the game ended now Projected VPs (all flip) = score if the game ended now, with everything magically flipped.
As the word "project" means something along the lines of "try to see what the future looks like", one would expect that at least the expected income on the remaining rounds would be included, if one is trying to project the final score. As the feature stands now, the actual mechanism differs from the typical user's expectations, which is likely to affect the behaviour of Joe Random, who is trying to decide whose coal mine he is going to overbuild.
But if one includes the predicted income to get "score, if everyone passed from now on", there would be no end to the things that the automatic calculation _might_ take into account, so there would never be a way to make the estimate in a way that would please everyone.
So here's my suggestion: instead of trying to predict the future, the computer should provide the following, more concrete facts: 1: VPs on board now 2: VPs on board now (everything flipped)
These numbers should be readily available by leaving the money out of the current VP estimate calculation. Now all the tricky stuff about trying to predict the future is left as a responsibility of the player, as it should be.
Well, that's my opinion, at least :-)

I second that the wording and the code should match and the don't now. But I think the score should everyone pass until the end of the game (meaning income would be included) would be more useful than what is proposed above.

I agree with both of you! I did get a very confused by "projected" victory points not turning out how I thought they would.
However I think the answer is is already there, simply go to "Player Settings" and answer the question:-
"remaining money in Rail Phase VP projection?"
In a way that suits you.
True this does not change the default settings, but how do you fix them in a way that suits everyone?

Including remaining money doesn't give projections. It only gives you points for the money you already have.
