without using all those math symbols? How did I go from 2500 to 3600 after losing a game? How about a list of those by percentage wins?

The rating formula is designed so that until you have played a fair few games, your rating will still be artificially low. The rating formula has three main parts: the 10,000 at the beginning (this just makes it a number between 0 and 10,000), the fraction in the middle (call it F/G) and the bit at the end (call it (1-1/G)?).T
he bit in the middle essentially represents the proportion of your games that you won, except that coming 2nd (or 3rd in a 4-player game) also counts as a small fraction of a win. The higher the proportion of your games that you won, the higher this part will be.T
he bit at the end just keeps your rating low when you have not played many games. It is there to avoid a situation where someone joins the site, plays 1 game, wins it and is immediately at the top of the ratings table. It is a number between 0 and 1; it gets closer and closer to 1 as you play more games (but you do not have to win those games).Y
our rating is not very reliable until you have played quite a lot of games.

How can I go from around a 5200 rating to a 4300 rating after winning three games in a row?
