Turn order glitched in 2 player

Set a specific turn order cause I kept going first in my 2 player games againt a certain opponent, but despite setting a turn order in which I (yellow) should go last, I still ended up going first. Pretty sure it's glitched cause I definately took it off random, and in all specified turn orders red should go before yellow.

The starting turn order options doesn't allow you to decide who goes first, I'm afraid. It just allows you to set the sequence in which the first turn should proceed, once the first player has been determined. When you reach the end of the list, you return to the start. If there are only two players then the status of the option is irrelevant.

The reason why that option exists is that in the rules for Brass it tells you to randomly determine a starting player, and then for the forst turn, proceed clockwise around the table. Now there's no significant difference between doing that and just randomly determining the entire starting turn order, and most people are happy to do the latter; but if you wanted to follow the rules in the book to the letter, then you might appreciate being able to choose where you sit around the table, as it were; you'll know who you are playing after on the first turn, or who you are playing before. But most people don't care about this, and just leave it as "Random".

If the idea was to determine the entire starting turn order then the options wouldn't all start with Red, and there would be 120 of them, not 24.

Ok, I understand. Agreed that random turn order it generally desirable, but would be nice to have an option to pick a first player in the event you are playing multiple heads up games and you want to keep it fair. I suppose over the long run it should even out, but when first 4 in a row all go the same way, it seems like someone is getting a handicap. Thanks for clearing that up though.
