Impossible to pay interest bug

Hi,

I haven't seen this point raised so far. It seems that their a small omission has been made : when a player is unable to pay the interest for his loans he should take one (or more) of his constructed industries and sell it for half price (rounded down) and pay the interest with this money. This obviously is a rare event. However, in game #693 if fond myself unable to pay my -3? "income" due to serious lack of foresight (coupled with a surprising and temporary inability to make accurate soustractions). I was greatly relieved when I realised that my -3? income suddently (and temporarly) became ? 0? income. I must admit that while it is really awfully nice to avoid the traumatic consequences of a desastrously planned move, it somewhat feels regretably akin to cheating...

(I hope that this makes some sense, my english is a bit rusty)

It looks to me as though the program behaved correctly. Is this the part of the game that you are querying?

Start of round 2 of 10 at 2009-02-16 21:32:23. Red (El Co), Green (grolapinos) receive income of ?4, ?12 respectively. Yellow (fabzebab) pays interest of ?3. The players' funds are currently as follows: Red (El Co): ?49; Yellow (fabzebab): ?31; Green (grolapinos): ?19. The new turn order is: Red (El Co), Green (grolapinos), Yellow (fabzebab).

Red (El Co) uses a Blackburn card to build a Tech Level 3 Coal Mine on the 1st industry space in Blackburn, taking iron from the Demand Track for ?3. For his second action, he uses a Fleetwood card to build the rail link between Blackburn and Burnley, taking coal from his own Tech 3 Coal Mine on the 1st space in Blackburn. He then builds the rail link between Burnley and Colne, taking coal from his own Tech 3 Coal Mine on the 1st space in Blackburn.

Green (grolapinos) uses a Stockport card to build a Tech Level 2 Cotton Mill on the 2nd industry space in Stockport, taking coal from the Demand Track for ?1. For his second action, he uses a Shipyard card to sell cotton from his Tech 2 Cotton Mill on the 2nd space in Stockport via the Distant Market. The tile drawn is -1; this leaves the Demand Marker on the 2nd +3 space. He is then obliged to end his Sell action.

Yellow (fabzebab) uses a Manchester card to build a Tech Level 2 Coal Mine on the 1st industry space in Manchester. For his second action, he uses a Cotton Mill card to build a Tech Level 4 Cotton Mill on the 3rd industry space in Manchester, taking coal from his own Tech 2 Coal Mine on the 1st space in Manchester and iron from the Demand Track for ?3.

Start of round 3 of 10 at 2009-02-17 15:52:09. Red (El Co), Green (grolapinos) receive income of ?4, ?15 respectively. Yellow (fabzebab) pays interest of ?3. The players' funds are currently as follows: Red (El Co): ?27; Yellow (fabzebab): ?0; Green (grolapinos): ?19. The new turn order is: Green (grolapinos), Red (El Co), Yellow (fabzebab).

You have ?31 at the start of round 2. Your first action is to pay ?7 for a Tech 2 Coal Mine. You are left with ?24. You then pay ?18 for a Tech 4 Cotton Mill, plus ?3 for the iron cube needed to build it (the coal comes off the board). This leaves you with ?3, which is just enough to pay your interest and leave you with ?0 left over.
