treasury/income issue

This thread is open.

in North by Northwich, there may be an income issue.

I thought I had enough to develop twice, but it ended my turn after a single one.

Now for the next turn, I have $5 treasury, but my income is $6. This seems impossible?

Thanks

It looks as though the problem occurred in round 4, just after the game was downsized. At the start of that round you had ?6. Your first action was to build a Tech 1 Port, which cost you ?6, that is, all of your money. It looks like the system then permitted you to develop, despite having no money - this left you with funds of -?1. However, it then detected that you could not afford to develop a second tile, despite not having detected that you couldn't afford the first one either. So it ended your turn. The following turn, you received income of ?6, which added to your funds of -?1 left you with ?5. The problem, then, is that the system allowed you to develop when it should not have. I will look into it.

This bug is now fixed. It turns out that I never put in a line of code to check whether the develop action can actually be afforded by the player! I have added this now. I'm surprised this bug hasn't come up before now. (Although I guess it is a fairly rare situation.)

qzhdad, if you feel it had a major detrimental effect on your game, I will consider a request to have the game deleted from your records (the game itself would remain).

thanks, Hammerite!
No issue on my record, I've done enough damage to it without help. :)
