Usability - what cards in hand?

This thread is open.

Posted by Bryan Rankin 2009-01-05 14:24:20 GMT

The fact that I have to scroll down to the "(First) card to use" lookup to know what cards I have is suboptimal. It would be so much easier if that information were visible on the screen at the same time as the map. Coloring a city name Red if I have a matching card would be fantastic. Just listing them right above the map image would work too.

Congrats on getting your site up and running. You've obviously put in a lot of work. If ever a game was worth it, this is it.

I agree that it's not the best. I am going to try to sort out a way to squeeze in a display of cards alongside the map.

I agree with you Bryan, it's a good idea to put the cards display next to the city map (maybe to the right of the map). it's much more easier to find the right cities. :)

Let' play.

i second Bryan's wish. It's hard to remember all the cards we have when scrolling back up to see the map. Putting all together would be great, even better if in a graphic mode, with visual hints on the map.

i dont wrtite computer programs , so i dont how hard it is the following sugestion
- a display of cards (as already been comented)
- a "click on a card" to do one action , then a "display" appears with the possible
actions with the chosen card
- a show where is on the map , is also a good . but i think that with a display
in the same view of the board is okay

Glad to see that the available cards are now shown as text above the map =) This makes HUGE difference.
